Not just rockets & robots...
"Science Fiction" means—to us—everything found in the science fiction section of a bookstore, or at a science fiction convention, or amongst the winners of the Hugo awards given by the World Science Fiction Society. This includes the genres of science fiction (or sci-fi), fantasy, slipstream, alternative history, and even stories with lighter speculative elements. We hope you enjoy the broad range that SF has to offer.

Correction

Hal Maclean is a freelance writer who mostly works in the field of tabletop RPGs. This is his first fiction sale. One of these days he's going to figure out how to use some of those new-fangled writer tricks like "characters" and "dialogue." (Can you tell he's a Canadian and uncomfortable talking about himself?)

An earlier version of this article stated, "Alien invasion fleet" rather than, "Meng Liberation." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Occupation" rather than, "Partnership." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Eye socket parasite" rather than "Companion." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Stimulates pleasure/pain centers in the brain to control behavior" rather than, "Helpful guidance."
We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Slaves" rather than, "Volunteers." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Forced breeding camps" rather than, "Hybrid birthing centers." We regret the error.
An earlier version of this article stated, "Eventual extinction" rather than, "Next stage of evolution." We regret the error.
